Yeah, Yorkshire Fog!

It wasn’t actual foggy on our early walk in the St Ives estate but it was a little overcast. Still very warm and the sun came through before we were back in the village.

When we got to the field, which hasn’t been mown yet, I was delighted to see the lovely pink grasses called ‘Yorkshire Fog’. I knew this would be today’s blip. You can see the ladies ahead ( no man today) as I stopped to take the photograph, no wonder I’m always at the back.

At the pond two of us fed the swans and cygnets.  As they came across the pond towards us their configuration as a ‘threesome’ was obvious with the cygnets divided into a group of 4 and a single. They soon grouped together when we fed them. It’s amazing how quickly they have grown to the ‘ugly duckling’ stage. Extra

After breakfast we popped down to Saltaire, via the tip with more garden waste, to deliver some items to the Children's Society charity shops.  The clothing one was closed so I took the bag to Age Concern who were very happy to receive them. The book and jigsaw shop was open and took the accrued  book group books I didn’t want to keep and a couple of jigsaws.

We had a coffee on Gordon Terrace, nice to sit out side  despite the traffic and I asked Chris to drop me at the garden centre on the way back to the village.
The ‘Incredible Moving Cinema’ has arrived in the car park. It is part of Bradford 25 and will be there for two days. The two films that are on that I’d be interested in are ones we’ve already seen but it’s a great idea.
I popped in to look at Astrantias again, they did have white ones but only huge plants at a price I didn’t want to pay!
I forget that yesterday as I arrived there was a very loud ‘Hello’ from above. It was Elvis the Macaw out of his cage! He was still there today but not as verbal so I took a picture of him. Extra two with the travelling cinema.

The sun has disappeared and we may or may not get heavy showers this afternoon. Hotter tomorrow and thunderstorms into the weekend were told
