Open..

The first of the orchids is open in the garden .... closer shots and one of the only peony flower - along with the gnarly (and rather past it) lavender are here.

There was a pick-up at M&S this morning. 
Now their computer systems are back to normal after being hacked there wasn't nearly as much choice (they hadn't been able to reduce or cancel orders and were getting maximum orders delivered every day).

I was putting up a light above the new workbench in the garage and there was a loud bang and no power.
It would appear a plug had a crack in it and it gave up the fight. Luckily the mains tripped and apart from the plug blowing itself apart no damage was done.
I spent a few minutes at the lathe for the first time in weeks. My 'Muscle Memory'  was totally confused.... and my lack of memory certainly didn't help when I couldn't find anything from all the shifting stuff about.

There was a phone call from the fitter .... it is now going to be 8am tomorrow ..............
