A later start today, though I was up at my usual time.

I went into the outside store to fold up the garden sacks I’d dumped yesterday and give it a quick sweep. I then decided to see if I could get rid of the contents of one of the boxes. A trip to the recycling site and the man in the site office (portacabin) took the stuff off me to sort and dispose of.

After lunch a drive to Bowness. It was busy but I was very lucky that all the cars in front of me drove past the first parking space which was empty. Loads of coaches around too.

Finally up to Booths for a cooked chicken from the hot food counter. It’s chicken salad this evening, then sandwiches tomorrow and I’ll make a pie with the rest.

Looks like it’s the Great North Swim in Windermere this weekend (signs and no parking cones on the roadside) and on Sunday the Windermere Marathon. I’d better head north if I go out.
