The same walk as yesterday but punctuated by four different conversations with people, the last one being with friend Alan, who I haven't seen for well over a year. This small tortoiseshell, a bit blurry because of the wind, was seen near the beginning of the walk, and I saw a hare near the end.
The said Alan is Alan Whatley, a one for ticklists and he's completed all the Munros, Tops, Corbetts, Grahams, Donald's, Nuttalls and Wainwright's. That was in 2018, goodness knows what else he's done by now, he has lots of future expeditions lined up, including several big birdwatching tours each year. I think he's obsessed!
Alan doesn't have broadband, so no internet, and he doesn't have a smartphone or a television... I can't imagine it, and he's a year or two younger than me.
Back home I put a casserole in the slow cooker and tidied the back garden a little. I also put some metal items out on the drive for the scrapman, who drives around regularly.
PS is anyone else having problems with photo uploading? It keeps saying it's uploading, but doesn't... until I restart my phone.
