Castell

Castell Dinas Brân.  

We've stayed on at Llangollen after the show to explore the area a bit more, it being our first time here.  It's impressive what the place has to offer within walking distance of the town centre - canal, railway, historic houses, and a castle on a hill.

We started with the climb to the castle mostly before the incoming rain arrived, then found the local museum, a short trip up and down the railway line (sadly diesel and half way only as there was a special event happening at the other end, but we'd watched the steam trains from the B&B in the morning), had a look around the surreal Plas Newydd and its patchwork of gothic decoration, and then meandered home.
