And then there's the shopping . . .

Bordeaux proudly boasts the longest pedestrian only shopping street in Europe. At 1.7km long Rue Sainte-Catherine is a wide, elegant and very busy moving mass of people.  

Of course I walked the length of it more than once from Saint-Michel in the south to Saint-Pierre in the north.  And although I'm not the world's greatest shopper I loved every minute and metre of it !!
