Flower Power!

Call me an antique, but having had two girls it's a bit hard to find a model car anywhere... but I found this one. 

Clearly gifted to Charlie by one of her peer group many years ago (he has Happy Birthday Char painted on the roof), and artwork from a dozen or more pre-teen nail varnishes.

He still has what it takes to be Herbie's cousin, though, and roars over the dwarf wall in the back garden. Janet's pink dianthus provide the flower power backdrop.

I almost remember the flower power years... when we were all pretty and love was free and we only had to read about the horrors of our wars once a day in the newspaper... oh, and the occasional bit of blotting paper. ;-)
