The Anchor

We met friends Martin and Carolyn for lunch at a favourite local pub, The Anchor at Pyrford Lock. It has been a very hot day, thirty degrees, so it was too hot to sit outside. We had a very good lunch, shared our news and tried (and failed) to put the world to rights .
The pub is situated close to a lock on the Wey Navigation. A road crosses the navigation at the lock. The bridge is very narrow and some cars have problems getting through. There nearly always seems to be a traffic jam as you can see in my extra.
