View from the King's Arms
I suggested to Dan that when I finished work, this afternoon, we might go out for a walk up to Casterton, and earn ourselves a couple of beers and pizzas at the Royal Barn.
He was delighted by the idea.
He's enjoying being at home more now that he has the use of the car that I bought for him and Abi a few years ago. It wasn't worth insuring him while he was away in London at uni and then on the cruise ship.
Abi drove the car across to Hannah's on Sunday and then drove it up to Kirkby Lonsdale on Monday. He was a little nervous, but he said that feeling disappeared the second he was in the driver's seat.
Anyway, we had a lovely walk out, bumping into our friends Spencer and Julie on the way, long with their new grandchild, which was so lovely to see. They're both clearly smitten.
And, as planned, we ended up in the Barn, had some beers and pizzas, and then returned to the King's Arms, where we also ended up last night after our curry, in the same seats in the window..
I took this at about 10pm, and it was still light. Longest day of the year is imminent!
