It's grey, cool and damp.
I climb up the hill to get
a view and flowers

I was out the door at 6:30 and heading up the hill to the Aberdeen area of the city. Rain has held off but the sky is dreary. I have a birthday gift to deliver, then I'm on to the Horticultural Garden at Thompson RIvers University.
I got my panorama of the valleys at the parking lot that overlooks the city. The wolf pack at the entrance and the leaping coyote are central to the roundabouts on campus.
My short walk around the garden yielded many blooms as well as the fish pond. I had no luck catching the scampering squirrels that were playing tag in the trees. Marmots appeared in the landscape which must be very annoying to the gardeners.
As I got back into my car, I looked up to the top of the hill to see two long ears in the grasslands. A lovely doe was nestled and having her breakfast.
I'm home with some sewing projects and CBC radio to keep me entertained.
