Poppies

I found another poppy field. I usually try to get the sun behind the buds so that all the little hairs stand out, but it’s gone very overcast this afternoon so I had to cheat by holding the bud up in the air and arranging the poppy field behind it with a reduced depth of field. I like this effect.
Mum had her ears syringed today. Doctors won’t do it any more. Private companies are springing up everywhere. At £95 a time, it’s no wonder.
We are off to Weymouth for a week’s holiday tomorrow. We are looking forward to it. Dorset is such a lovely part of the country.
