Wild oats?

There are lots of pavement plants around at the moment and I’ve featured some in past blips including those lovely poppies seen yesterday, but this is something I’ve not see before.

We stopped outside Bingley Methodist church, where we sing with ATN community choir on a Monday morning, and this sight greeted me as I got out of the car growing in the crack between the bottom of the wall and the pavement. I know they are not oats but they look like some sort of wheat.

A bit early for harvest festival and one does wonder where the seed came from as we’re certainly not near any arable fields.

Good sing this moring, all 14 songs for our gig on Saturday plus three others. 

Chris has another (the last for a while I hope) dental appointment so we are going shopping when he gets back. No church choir so we’re going over to Owlcoats M&S for a change when he gets back.

Much cooler today and quite windy.
