Mini Barred Grass Snake …
… in the little water left in our pond which is rapidly drying out in this heatwave. Barred grass snakes are semi-aquatic and prey mainly on toads and frogs. They also eat fish but all of our fish were eaten by this one’s granddad or grandmother I suspect. I did blip that happening five years ago (extra). They consume prey live without using constriction!
One more day of cleaning the flagstones around the house. It’s such a dirty job but it looks good for a few months after it is done. Only 2 yoga classes this evening and next week will be the last for 2 months. I’ll catch up with journals at the weekend. Meanwhile thanks for the many comments etc. on the Queen of Spain Fritillary yesterday.
