Last Night
The blip is an Acorn woodpecker and the extra is a bridled titmouse. The acorn woodpeckers are relatively common but the titmouse was almost impossible to capture. It doesn't stay in one place for more than 2 or 3 seconds.
One more night and I'm back to the real world. I still haven't gotten the elusive hummingbird but will try one last time tomorrow morning before I leave. I probably shouldn't have eaten so many hot dogs because they aren't treating me well. I won't have another for a long, long time.
The people up here at the lodge treat me very well. They have to put up with me coming and going several times a day. Now that's patience. The lodge is actually a gift shop with a coffee bar but it refers to the cabins and casitas as the lodging.
