Green Heron In Pond

I walked over early this morning to the pond on hole #9, looking for a kingfisher I heard there for the first time, yesterday. While I was searching up in the surrounding trees, there was a lovely GREEN HERON standing among the vegetation right in front of me. When I finally realized it, I was so excited....I stood for over a half hour taking photos. WHAT FUN :))

I also finally identified the yellow bird taken a couple days ago as a "common yellowthroat"!! A new one for me:))
