New pink lupin

I grew this lupin from seed last year. Over the past few weeks, Mr hazelh has kept it safe from the aphids. I'm so pleased that it has managed to bloom in our yarden.

I suffered another night of coughing, sneezing, and backache. However, I managed to stay awake from breakfast until lunchtime, using this time at the kitchen table on my laptop to catch up on blipfriends. After lunch I had a bath and returned to bed for a nap, determined to get up properly later in the afternoon. 

My plan worked. I even had enough strength to make our supper and do a little sorting ahead of some serious picture hanging in the morning. We also had a chat with my niece Ailish and her boyfriend Danny about a house purchase in Newcastle.

I am pleased that I will be well enough to receive my guests and go to our book group meeting tomorrow. Fingers crossed that the last of the backache and the coughing will disappear overnight.
