Wet, wet, sun
There was a lot of water around today. First I swam, without incident, and then it rained and rained and rained. I was in and out quite a lot making sure as much water as possible was going into the water butt
.
There was some admin, quite a few messages to and fro to J and also receiving a delivery from afar. #1 son wasn't impressed by my sending scans of the graduation ceremony of June 2008 that shows that WH and nephew M, then unknown to one another, graduated on the same day. The courier was happy about the rain and the cool (13 deg) as he'd been in the south of England earlier in the week. The deliveries have been put away for a later day.
Given the weather and the availability of the Events Co-ordinator I decided to go down to see the space and try out the presentation at the Glasshouse. All went well. The sun had started to reappear when I arrived in Leith Street, had a good look round and then ran the presentation. The last time I'd been in the meeting room with the plasma screen I'd been interviewing for Crisis, 2016?
I came out 2 minutes before a #7 and was home by 5. And hurray the sun was out, the sky was blue and it was possible to sit outside. After a long chat with F I read a book on the patio with a G&T. The chat led to a googling of the law on children in cars. I'd meant to do it before. The plastic basin I'd been propping up to catch water had fallen and smashed joining the pottery candleholder on the table. That wasn't wind. I suspect a cat.
It was lovely sitting in the sun after so much rain but it wasn't warm so a long time outside wasn't on the cards. Came inside to finish the loaf, make food (pasta and a made up sauce with the leftovers from last week) and ytry to avoid watching the news about wars and welfare bills, on both sides of the pond.
Managed to doze off and almost the burnt the bread. I don't think it's as good as loaf one. Then I went to bed.
