Lichen Moth
I usually always see a couple of these pretty moths in my garden every summer, a Black & Yellow Lichen Moth. The first time I ever saw one, I had no idea it was a moth but now I usually recognize them, although they look similar to a net winged beetle that we also see this time of year. They are diurnal (daytime) moths and can frequently be found on native wildflowers like this anise hyssop. I had a session with my therapist this morning which went well. She helped me with some techniques to manage my anxiety which I am sure will come in handy. She's very easy to talk to, which is a good quality in a therapist.
I started pulling together more things for my trip, including gathering various pieces of photo gear that will need to go with me. The clothes are actually the easy part. I've decided to just take a mono pod since a lot of the shooting will be from a boat which doesn't allow for tripods. Frankly, I'm a bit awkward with both, but better to have it in case I need it. Also picked up 2 prescriptions from the pharmacy - needed to have a short dose of antibiotics in case of gastrointestinal issues and also got a pack of steroids just in case. Probably won't need either one, but better safe than sorry.
It was warm and sunny today but now we are having a big thunderstorm. Hopefully it will be over before we go pick Jax up from day care - he really does hate the rain and literally cringes when he has to be in it.
And thank you for all the love on my butterfly yesterday!
Two more sleeps...
xoxo
