Flower Friday
I’ve had a quiet day working on the family year book, though Ros did call round for a cup of tea and a catch up this afternoon.
Mr C netted the blackcurrants and gooseberries and will do rasps tomorrow.
Ella had had two transition days at high school and didn’t like it. She thought some pupils from her current school were embarrassing and she couldn’t spot any girls on her new form class who looked like they could be friends. Ailie’s grandson Andrew wasn’t happy either - it was too strict for him! I hope she doesn’t spend all summer fretting about it. It’s a big change.
When we went to see the Red Dress Ann gave me this orchid. It’s so pretty and delicate - I hope I can keep it alive. Will benign neglect be the way forward?
Thankfully friend Phil’s MRI showed no secondaries and he has an appointment with the consultant on Wednesday. Fingers crossed for that and for Mr C too of course.
Chloe sent us her DVD of The Battle for Algiers which was kind. I can’t say it will be something to look forward to as it will be harrowing. Like the Channel 4 programme the BBC refused to show about the medics in Gaza.
