Nathaniel and his pals Dougie and Rhodi
We picked up Linda and Colin and drove to Katy’s for brunch to celebrate her Colin’s recent 65th. Not long ago we would have walked the 5 miles round trip. It was breezy - luckily we had our coats as we were in the garden. We met a new couple - he’s in Colin’s band. They call themselves Vest Life.
#2 daughter sent a photo of James holding a big cup. His team won a football tournament. He’d gone with a friend whose mum said he’d played brilliantly. What a shame his parents were having a day off.
In the afternoon we drove to #3 daughter’s to drive her and Ella to Byker for Nathaniel’s end of year performing arts school show.
It was a great show, with performers aged from around 4 to 20, mainly dancing and singing. They are taught in different age groups and the final show moves seamlessly through the groups. It was very professional. Although Nathaniel says he doesn’t really like dancing, he’s a good mover and with there being far fewer boys in his age group he stands out - in a good way. He prefers acting to the dancing and singing but it’s good for him to be versatile.
After the show we all went to Dabbawal for Indian street food which was very tasty.
