The Salt Path

I wonder how many people are disappointed/appalled by the Observer article today re Raynor Winn. So many people read this book and many were inspired by the story. I’m so sorry for all those people conned out of money. I didn’t like the book and didn’t go to see the film for that reason. I was sceptical about the reasons they became homeless and about his recovery from a progressive terminal illness. She annoyed me because she kept banging on about how other walkers were so impressed that she was doing that walk at her age. She couldn’t have been much more than 50 so why not. I know many of you will have read the book and/or seen the film so I’m interested in your take on it.

Nothing to report here. - I’ve done some work on the family year book and read more of Butter. It’s funny and clever but after 150 pages I’m finding it a bit repetitive.
