Alnwick Garden
Last year I had a ticket to the garden and took lots of friends to see the cherry blossom etc. I don’t buy one every year so I was pleased when Shona reciprocated by inviting me on her new ticket. The delphiniums were lovely as was the hydrangea here. I love this rose and bought one last year but so far have had no flowers. It’s unusual I think.
I was also pleased I managed to walk round the roses and the walled garden without too much discomfort. This morning I had an hour of manipulation by the private soft tissue expert I went to after Vienna 4 months ago. I felt worse after that session so didn’t risk going again till now. He explained that my main problem is tendinitis which is now causing tightening of the hamstring. This is what he worked on today and said I must walk as far as I can and do some exercises he gave me that I can actually do. He thinks JMAPS have the diagnosis of osteoarthritis and haven’t looked at the whole picture. This was what I kept asking them but to no avail. I have to stay clear of uneven ground, steep steps and steep downhills. I walked 2 miles on gradually inclines and while not totally pain free I feel so much better than before. I’m feeling so much more encouraged. Of course I wish I’d trusted him and gone back earlier!!
Mr C went to the fruit farm for rasps but it took him ages as they were few and tiny though this was the first day open so none had been picked at the weekend.
Tonight we are going with Linda and Colin to eat at Carol and Phil’s. He has no secondary cancers but a there is large one in his bowel so they are wanting distraction till his consultant appointment. Linda has health issues too and Colin has Parkinson’s, not to mention Mr C’s upcoming endoscopy and colonoscopy so we’ll keep health )or lack of it) to a minimum I hope.
