Curiosity killed the... well it's not just cats!

I know, half of you are cheering... another wasp meets a sticky end, or in this case a slippery one. But they are fantastic predators and pollinators, and we'll miss them when they're gone. This one is gone. Too eager to explore the recesses, and as you might see his comrade went before him.

Ah well, the picnic is saved. Or will be if we have a picnic.

Some of you might notice and even comment on the focal length of my macro lens... all I can say is that I was trying to take a decent shot of the spitfire that was circling the village all afternoon, but in the end this to me at least was more interesting!
