A female goosander with three chicks swimming down the river this afternoon. Of course she wouldn't bring them to the side of the river where I could get a closer shot, until there was too much vegetation in the way. I've done my best to blip these adorable wee fluffy chicks. The image isn't pin sharp unfortunately. 

The day started with a 1:1 hour of  yoga. Such a pleasure to have undivided attention for my stretches. I can feel my muscles chatting to me now. 

Later  I'm popping out to collect a bundle of food from the person who cooked for the 90th birthday last week. The menu this week is wonderful. Two friends who have been meaning to try these wonderful curries but haven't got round to it yet are sharing the meal with us. So I now need to go and set up the dining room (currently a yoga studio!) ready for a feast. There will be no  need for canapés or dessert and I'm quite sure that the four of us will have plenty left over for tomorrow. There again, maybe not.
