Hat Fair '25

Today was Winchester's annual Hat Fair so of course I went down to look between other complications in the day.  In recent years it has not been the brilliant event it once was and I'm not sure it will ever get back to top form, but I thought this year's was better than the last few which was good to see.  And here is one of the performers and in extras two shots of folks who'd come to enjoy what was going on.

In and out of that I've been to the garden centre (courtesy of J who kindly drove me up there) and bought various essential garden supplies and two new shrubs.  I still doubt I can hack the rock hard earth enough to get the shrubs planted.  We were meant to have rain today but only got two drops and now, at the end of the day, more sun.  Who am I to complain?
