A Gatekeeper and Meadow Brown in my garden

In fact there were at least three Meadow Brown’s, all looking a bit worn out, whereas the Gate Keeper appeared to be newly emerged.

The Gatekeepers have come to the Marjoram plants for as long as they’ve been here, which is probably around 25 years. I’ve just had a scan through my images and the earliest one I can see is the 13 Aug 2011.
