Hedgerows and Bookmaking
The Chiffchaff-chaff was still busy calling and lots of insects on the bramble flowers, which are quickly going over. It’s been lovely to watch how the hedgerow has changed over the year and which plants have become dominant as the seasons change. I think this is the time of Rose-bay Willowherb, which is known as Fireweed in the US. Though the thistle also is shining in pink. It’s a different thistle, I need to look it up. I’ve also been doing some work on my Photobook - Light and Shadows along Dance Lane. I’ve put a few words together for the introductory page ( which I’m still playing with.
I also dropped in to the Community Coffee morning session in the chapel. A lot if reminiscence from those people who’d been living in the village all their lives, which rather left those of us who were still incomers a bit adrift, even though I’ve lived here longer than anywhere else - just over 25 years.
