Wide skies and summer fields.
We actually had a bit of rain yesterday evening, but not very much.
The clouds have been around more or less all day to today, sometimes looking threatening, but then passing over. Or hanging around full of promise but no outcome!
I had a lie in this morning!
We went out for our usual, pub lunch, (without my crutch for the first time). after which driving to a local church where our eldest granddaughter and her friend had set up a stall at their “Summer Fayre”.
They had handmade lots of items, and had a Lucky Dip Box. I bought some of their laminated book marks, decorated with their own designs.
There was Bouncy Castle, and some home made”Stocks”, where a brave volunteer would poke their head through and for a small fee had wet sponges thrown at them! Albeit from a designated distance,
Lots of other stalls as you would expect.
It has been a bit of a slightly windy day, but not too cold and warm in any sunshine.
Our two youngest grandchildren were there with our son and daughter-in-law, just enjoying the Bouncy Castle and had thrown wet sponges! They had guessed the weight of a cake, and tried to name an enormous soft toy Panda! But had been disappointed not to have won either !
All the fun of the Fayre!
After we came home I spent some more time dead heading the roses whilst Stephen had gone to the gym, and then later watering the very dry garden.
It is still fairly light outside at 21.40.
We’ve been watching a serial on Netflix. It’s very good.
Now I am writing my Blip, later for me this evening.
I’ll catch up with blips tomorrow, now.
