Hungry woodpecker

Today we went with our friends, Don and Kathy, and our daughter and grandchildren, to the Cleveland Botanical Gardens. I took my camera (of course) and got some good pictures, but the blip for today is a back yard blip, taken this evening after we returned from our excursion. The bird feeder was only about two feet from my chair, but that didn't bother this woodpecker a bit. She had eyes only for the food in the feeder.

Don and Kathy are returning home to South Carolina tomorrow. We've had a busy three days, and Don and Bob had a great time reconnecting and made a good start on catching up on the 50+ years since they last saw each other. Not only that, but the weather cooperated too. What more could we ask?
