Last Day
Well it’s been a quick four days! We decided that we would have breakfast at the hotel this morning after we finished packing.
Went down at 9:55, the latest we have been all week by a long way and was told that they finish at 10!! Any hotel I’ve been to finishes at 11. Oh well, somewhere else to look for . Ben was ‘hangry’!
So to save any hangriness we went to the place across from the Liver Building again. He had the full English . What an appetite he has now and not a pick on him.
Well he polished that off and I had yogurt granola and fruit with coffee and really big portion of that.
We had the Ferry Cross the Mersey tour at 12 so we hung about the Albert Dock area . Stephen Mullen was filming an episode of You Bet further down so Ben went to watch that.
The ferry was interesting. Learned a lot of facts about the waterfront. We passed by our hotel, beside the six sided clock tower then over to the other side. Took around an hour.
Off we went and I wanted to pop in to the gift shop at the museum to get a couple of fridge magnets. That’s when Ben told me that last night he had left his shorts he just bought at the restaurant. He didn’t want to tell me last night when at the hotel as he knew I’d be going ‘I can’t believe you left them there’ lots of times! He had called them up last night and said he would be tomorrow to pick them up.
I’m not going back there said I . No Nana it’s 12 mins away I will run there and back you go to the cafe and get a cuppa (the museum cafe). Well he took off like Eusain Bolt - ran there and back and took 7 mins!
We walked back to the hotel for a sit down in the lounge and a drink and then ordered an Uber to take us to Lime Street. Train departed at 16:11.
No problems this time. We were in first class and there was only 9 of us in there. Very comfortable journey up to Glasgow Central and met by my lovely husband, in the rain. He managed to get a parking spot nearby.
Home an hour later, dropped Ben off had a chat with his mum and dad and then Home and collapsed into bed!
We’ve had a fab time and discussed where we wanted to go next which would be the October hols. Budapest was mentioned.
