If you can't beat them...

Adult Starling ( Sturnus vulgaris )

I fully intended today's blip to be a flower.  After all it is Wednesday and we would be visiting a garden centre.  In the morning I saw a Starling on the feeders.  Now for many this will not be unusual, for us it is rare.  Before we had the nest we had at best two or three visits a year.  Even while nesting they didn't visit the feeders.  Soon after one of the nestlings visited but IU blipped one of them a little while ago.

The garden centre visit was not the one we planned.  We were aiming for Dobbies at Carlisle.  A series of phone calls from tomorrow's blipmeet venue meant we would be late setting off.  So we decided on "Melki" (Larch Cottage nurseries Melkinthorpe) instead.  I loaded the cameras into the car and we were just ready to set off and I noticed one tyre was soft so we took the other car.  On arriving at the garden centre I went to get the camera bags ot of the car.  Guess what!
