A morning damp and
grey does not motivate me
to take photographs

I was pushing my bins out to the street for collection at 6:30. The rain had stopped but my world looked gloomy and rather uninviting. Not to be discouraged, I headed off to Mission Flats.

At the end of the road, I got a panorama of the delta. Everything was in shades of grey this morning. Blah!

I had to avoid some locations today as overnighters were parked. Some look sketchy, so I avoid them all.

I found some white catchfly along the roadside. To my surprise I discovered two apple trees that held an abundance of apples. I wondered how these came to be along the river's edge. No doubt, these will make the wildlife very happy and soon.

We've been promised a sunny day, but it hasn't arrived yet. I find it difficult to  be enthused about anything on a day like this. I'm home and aimless.

Meanwhile, several states along our southern border (Republicans) have written to complain about the forest fires smoke coming from Canada. They criticize Canada for "poor management" and insist Canada do something about the suffocating smoke they are experiencing. No mention of 'global warming', of course. Seriously. You can't make this stuff up!

** I have used Fotor's "mosaic" effect to improve the gloom today..
