Here Comes the Sun ...

... Flower.

Hard to believe but this is the same sunflower that was in my collage yesterday.  Whereas yesterday only one petal was open today the whole sunflower was opened up.  Such a marvel of nature.  And beautiful, too.

In order to beat the heat of the day we got out before lunch for a nice walk at Housenick Memorial park.  We took a long route than usual and saw lots of wildlife ... mainly several chipmunks and red squirrels.  But my birding App (Merlin) picked up quite a few different bird species ... even if we didn't actually see them all.  Twenty-one species in all. 

We got home just in time for lunch.  And afterwards I read the newspaper before taking a swim.  Whilst I was in the pool I saw the Ruby-throated Hummingbird on the beebalm ... which she loves.  I've added a photo of her in Extras.  I still haven't gotten "the" shot of these beauties that I'm totally happy with.
