Choose Joy

It sure seemed to go well

Went to the dentist. The hygienist told me that Florida and Utah no longer will add fluoride to the water, a simple innovation that has made a major different in dental health for decades. She said those dates will make the dentists rich with all the implants they require. Then she said she just read something, she didn’t want to scare me, did I want to hear? I said yes. So with her equipment in my mouth she told me how important USAID was, fighting and identifying diseases OVER THERE before they could come HERE and of course USAID has been shut down. When I could talk to her again I let her know that I was fired USAID, but that I’d started a new company! I was wearing the t-shirt because of course I was meeting some of the team for lunch.

We enjoyed Ethiopian food. It felt very appropriate to have African food of course. It was good to have more good news for them - the company we spoke to the other day will partner with us on a bid, the company’s third, and will give lots of the work to us.

I understand that things will not always go this well for us, but I was emotional at the good news.

AND THE DAY JUST GOT BETTER!

The podcast interview went well I think. I will wait until other people get to see the podcast to judge it a success. I followed Annejohn’s advice and had the nice communication framework our comms person developed with me.

And then I got presents! I got presents. And I don’t feel like I can even discuss the presents because there is only so much goodness in a day that a person can take and I feel so cared for that my eyes are wet.

The extras include the Americans and yesterday’s electric unicycle.

Ok, so, Russia’s vodka production has taken a hit. There is a potato crisis. Prices have risen more than 130% in the last year.

Ukraine destroyed a Buk-M1, a surface-to-air missile defense system, using drones.
