Hot Hot Hot!
What a HOT day! Archie and I were out quite early, and kept in the shade most of the way. We sat on the bench, he sat on my lap, and we just watched everyone for ages. He's definitely slowing down... His leg still troubles him at times, but sometimes he trots along fine. But we've ordered some of those pills to help elderly dogs with arthritis. After all, he IS 77!
Yes, I did half an hour on the bike, and then we all walked over the Links to take a couple of items to the local tailor's to be taken up. A couple of silk blouses of mine that I always felt were too long. JR dusted off her sewing machine, and was able to take up a couple of linen shirts. I hate them being too long, and I will NOT do a 'French Tuck' as JR and all the trendies like to do (tucking it half in and half out).
Archie came, reluctantly. He kept stopping, and had to be encouraged along with treats, though we were in the shade much of the way.
Back in time for the tennis. A great game with Alcaraz and Swift. Not such a great game with Sinner and Djokovic. JR sat outside in the sun. Too hot for me. Hazel popped over for a wee glass of wine - she's off on holiday again tomorrow. Even she thought it was VERY HOT in our back garden. In fact, I joined them for a while, then left them to it, tennis calling. Must have been high 20s. Same tomorrow!
