Weedons pony

Woke to.........stillness and no wind outside!  Yay!  Unfortunately, checking the road reports revealed an almost exact copy of the road reports when I first set off, almost 4 weeks ago......roads closed due to rain, flooding and slips.  The Top of the South region has been hammered once again.  I kept my eye on the road reports during the morning but once we hit the afternoon I wasn't keen to drive 4.5 hours in what could still be dodgy conditions even if the roads were opened.  As it turned out, the main road was still closed at 4pm so maybe tomorrow I'll make the trip home.  Next road report might be tomorrow morning but at the moment the "Expected Resolution" is given as "Until further notice" so who knows......  Thanks goodness for a couple of good rugby games to keep me entertained!

Today's pic is a pony that lives next door to the Weedons site I'm staying at.......nothing very exciting to photograph today so I thought I'd get a little pony-pic as a warm up for my next trip up to the Kaimanawas next month.
