Cornflower blue

Woke up early due to jet lag and decided to start work early while I felt awake. I'd kept an eye on my email from Canada so there were no nasty surprises and most of the irrelevant stuff had already been deleted.
Several meetings via Teams and a lot of catching up on endless meeting invitations for the next couple of weeks.
I began to flag at around 4 pm and so finished and had a quick snooze. I felt much better afterwards.
S did tidying and washing while I worked. The bad news is that he managed to scoop up the new bat detector in its pouch from inside my open case as he picked up our duvet cover from the bed. The electronic bat detector is unlikely to have survived the wash but I've not had chance to check it yet. I'd only just splashed out on one - such is life.
Had more of a chance to potter round the garden and work out what has survived. The wildflower patch is looking lovely. There are loads of poppies still (and obviously have been loads looking at the number of seed heads) and there are also cornflowers, marigolds, vipers bugloss and borage in flower. It has been alive with bees and hoverflies.
