Black-tailed skimmer

I'm still a bit jet-lagged but work was a bit easier and it was nice to be in the office again. My plants had survived with help from my colleagues. 
Sat in the garden after work. This dragonfly came to visit and settled a few times at the edge of a border. I used Obsidentify to get the species name and it seemed pretty confident that it was correct. 
My bike was very smooth on the way in after the big service while we were on holiday. On the way home it was a bit wobbly and when I got home, I noticed that the back tyre had bulged and was not looking very safe. We managed to order a new tyre to collect from Halfords just before they closed and fitted it after a bit of a struggle to get the old tyre off the wheel rim. Changing a tyre is much easier with quick release wheels and hydraulic disk brakes that don't have to be reseated on the rims. I wonder if the heat affected the tyre - it was an original so getting old but the cycle guy had said that it was still fit for purpose when he serviced the bike.
