Cockermouth Garden Trail…
… in aid of The Children’s Society.
Blipper Trev Earthy emailed this morning to ask if we knew about the garden trail. We didn’t so it was a good opportunity to admire some of the 11 wonderful gardens on the trail including Trev and Ros’s riverside oasis. They were all inspirational although walking between them all was energy sapping in the heat.
It was very interesting talking to the various owners and a lady at the essential refreshment hall, all really confirming what we already know, Cockermouth is where we want to be. It’s a case of hanging in there to find the right property.
The morning was spent on household tasks, one of the few days where we’ve been doing housework. With much effort we installed and levelled the washing machine meaning the washing could be done, hung up and dried, rooms cleaned and various other tasks completed before the very enjoyable afternoon
Time now for the Saturday evening traditions. Pleased you liked yesterday’s Buttermere reflections. We’re going again very early tomorrow morning
