Water lilies
I went to the valley today to pick up some plants for jobs this week. I had planned to go for a walk at Miners Marsh, and I did stop there for a short time. I was disappointed though. There was no water in the first pond, it was mud. And very little water in the second pond. And the invasive multiflora rose has been allowed to grow over 6 feet high, so there is only a couple of spots where you can see the marsh. Plus they have allowed the cattails to take over too. When I first started going there 10 years ago, it was a great place to visit year round. Now you get about3 - 4 months where you can see the various birds.
In the afternoon I decided to visit the Tangled Garden. Most of the roses are past their prime but there were still lots of things to see and photograph. This waterlily is in one of the ponds. And I caught a bee on some salvia.
A busy day tomorrow, too many things happening and not enough time. Brunch, kite festival, mural festival and a potluck picnic with the social/travel group. Plus I have to get invoice sent out tomorrow.
