Not A Bad Day

There was quite a haar first thing but it was obvious that it was going to clear and it was going to get warm so we went for a morning walk ... just before the kids 'Park Run' started. I can't say that I was too pleased with the way the organisers put cones and signs across the public paths and try to discourage members of the general public to go elsewhere.
Needless to say were were passed fairly soon by the youngsters - some of whom were going like wee rockets.

I selected some wood and made handles for the two mugs, fitted them and they have had the first layer of finish. I am not sure how many layers I will give them.

SWMBO noticed that there were two new lily flowers open on the pond so I went out and grabbed some pictures.
I thought all the orchids were finished, but I found one in full bloom. I failed to get a decent shot of a bee in flight ... again and was really surprised when I spotted the flower - there wasn't even a bud a couple of days ago!
