New dahlias.

As some of the flowers in my garden are rapidly going over I bought two new dahlias and today potted them up this evening. All my flowering plants are either white or pink so needed them to fit in too.

A busy day ..first Pilates and then coffee with friends. Then to the car wash as car so dusty and lots of spiders webs too. I was the only one in the car wash. 5 minutes for two guys to wash the outside and then about 12 minutes for 6 of them to wipe the outside, hoover and clean the inside. I think it was done really well…so I make that 82 minutes of labour which is a lot more than is usual when they are busy! 

Then I went to a meet up with ex work colleagues in a local pub…I only stayed for a drink not lunch. It is strange meeting with people a couple of times a year that you worked with ten plus years ago…not much in common now with some of them.

Then to collect grandchildren and go to see all their books etc in their classrooms and talk to their teachers too. They have both done very well this year and I was really impressed with their written work and very neat legible handwriting…long may it continue. Their parents have been to parents evenings but could not take time off work today. 

Rain is forecast but none here yet though it has been pleasanter temperature with a breeze too.
