Schwarzsee

I started the day by phoning my brother and sister who are twins, to wish them happy birthday. We sat outside in the sunshine on the terrace eating breakfast which was a good way to start the day. 

We were undecided which walk to do today, but as Gavin had a zoom meeting this afternoon we could not go out for too long. We did a very pleasant hike that took us past Schwarzsee (Black Lake) and it made me think that at home in the UK we have a similar named Black Pond near us too. In the winter when this freezes over there is ice skating on this lake, and in summer it's popular for swimming. Except today there was not another person around, and in fact it has been so quiet here, we are wondering why it is not as busy as it usually is. 

We had lunch at a popular roadside cafe (Grüenbödeli) that we passed walking back home again. Gavin and his meeting and I was researching our plans for tomorrow, we think we are going to Zurich to go for a cruise on the Zurich Lake, we will decide in the morning.
