Early morning walk

A rainbow through the bedroom window and suddenly the morning chorus was silent as we had a sprinkle of rain. Just as suddenly the rain cleared ... a lovely morning for an early walk. MLaM and I met up and we went via Chigborough to 'rose lane' (blip). We met a few early morning dog walkers and enjoyed foraged sugar plums and conversation.  5.5k, 6,500 steps and a perfect start to the week.

After a reasuring phone call from the hospital with an appointment for Tuesday, G was keen on going out for a walk too so we headed to Shoeburyness,  parked in Gunners Park and walked west, along the sea front. We took our time and enjoyed coffee, fish finger sandwich and Ross' ice-cream at 3 different places. On our return, the wind picked up and at high tide we spotted a yacht had come loose from it's moorings and was being battered by the waves on the groin. Luckily I spotted a notice with the sailing club phone contact details and was able to leave a message advising the membership secretary of the situation. A long journey back due to congestion on the Arterial,  nevertheless a good day.
