G took this photograph of David's classic car, which he had just washed, ready to show it on Sunday. It sparkled! :))

We left shortly after breakfast to head back to the Lodge, as D+E prepared to visit their grandchildren. It's been a lovely visit and we look forward to seeing them again soon.

The drive back was easy. We filled up with petrol for the first time. I was pleasantly surprised to discover what it costs to fill a hybrid car! Back home, we were unpacked within minutes, and then I fell asleep on the sofa, despite it being so warm. The awning came into its own, though, helping keep the temperature down by several degrees.

Our next-door neighbours came over to check it out. It's amazing how quickly it cools down here once the sun is gone. I did some preparation to secure items on the deck to comply with the yellow storm warning that's been issued.
