Sunday Morning Escapade
To me, living on my own, the longest day of the week is definitely Sunday. So now I have decided to do Sunday morning escapades to put a little action into that day!
Unlike the younger generations, I don't need to be constantly do-ing something. I am really happy just be-ing. It is however, rather lovely to see new horizons and experience different atmospheres. I don't need to go far, but in this season, the lakeside is a definite attraction.
Today, I took three buses to get down to the small lakeside town of Lutry. It's often a challenge for me to take people shots as I don't like imposing my camera into the scenes of innocent, unknown people. I can manage it better if they cannot be recognised... so here are three people. I did love the couple on the bench, but then a cyclist came into the scene, bringing in some tranquil energy. Everything framed by the sweeping presence of a beautiful big plane tree.
I did stop at a well-known café (also in Lausanne) specializing in everything that health-concious eaters try to avoid... because everything they sell is tantalisingly delicious, containing carbs and sugar. I very occasionally treat myself to a croissant, especially if it's filled with almonds or nougatine. Today I had the latter.
Extras:
- the curved bay on the lake with the clouds dispersing
- a closer view of the attractive buildings.
- Croissant Nougatine and a read of the Sunday newspaper.
