Speed

Before I spent all of a Sunday morning being terribly lazy I was up and out of the house, in damp but balmy conditions, to the motorbike accessory shop with my nice new(ish) leather boots which had developed a fault.  What I didn't bring with me however was the receipt, so I felt obliged to ride all the way home again and return, giving Madame Fidra a high speed blast along the bypass to test some windscreen geometry.  Having only just broken in the boots, they are now away to be exchanged for a new pair to start the process all over again (and to soak more beeswax into them again, too).  After another blast along the bypass and a quick nip round the supermarket I headed home to peel off my heavy armour and have lunch.

The thunderstorms predicted by Alexa and the Met Office didn't arrive, so I had a slow, lazy afternoon looking at places to stay at for an upcoming event that bestie and I are going to.  A long hot shower was then in order and then tea and to catch up with some regular YouTube channels.

The rain arrived this evening, great sheets of the stuff…and then it went off again.  All the snails in the garden were having the time of their lives though.
