Renegade!

Almost all the other sunflowers were facing the other way (extra), but this daredevil was facing me.
Tonight, as we were walking Zoe, we ran into Farmer Bobby’s parents. Their farm is behind our property and has Angus cattle. They were inspecting the corn their son planted along our dirt road.
It was so fascinating to learn about the farming community here. They told us how entwined the Amish community is with the local farmers and how dependent they are on the Amish services. 

The farmers here, including Bobby and his dad, are descendants of the early colonials and are proud of their four-hundred-year history of farming this land.
