Blue Sky Thinking

Well, thinking of blue skies anyway.

It didn't rain while we were out for our walk but I did get wet .... from cutting back a load more overhanging branches, which of course were hanging even lower because of the raindrops on their leaves.
There were another 2 occasions where people thanked me for what I was doing.

We passed 2 'sites' where work was being done. Both of them had 2 'workmen' doing work that only required 1 and both sites had 2 vans.
It makes you wonder just how much money is being wasted by the Council on buying all the extra vans, fuel, road tax etc - paying the extra wages, - pumping out all the extra vehicle fumes etc, etc, etc.

After our walk we went out and tried out some mattresses and spent a fair amount of money on a new one.

Other pictures are Over Here - they are looking over a bridge into the stream, an orchid in the glass jar, 2 shots of the 4 mugs I have made recently (the first ones are mine and the other 2 will be going to the SIL) and an ugly little box where the lid takes about 7 seconds to slide all the way down if left to its own devises (or for the base to slide off if you pick it up by the lid).
