TINY TUESDAY AND WILD FLOWER WEEK
I had planned to do some sorting out of “stuff” today, but having received the letter from HMRC last week, decided I would try and sort out my tax affairs first!
I was all set to sign in only to be told that the account had been deleted as I hadn’t used it for 3 years - so back to square one and getting various documents out to prove I am who I am! I am going to ask to pay the amount I allegedly owe in 3 instalments, which will make things a bit easier.
However, having had enough of tax affairs, I decided to go out into the garden to find a shot for Tiny Tuesday - thankfully it is “theme free” so I had lots to choose from. As you know, we have a “No mow from May until September” policy for our garden grass - it can’t be called a lawn by any means - and the pollinators were busy all around me. When I got down, at quite a strange angle to take a shot of this Centaurea - or Knapweed - and I’m not sure which one it is, Greater, Meadow, Common or Slender - I saw this tiny ladybird too, so two for one today. I have left the shot as it is so that you can see the angle, which I think makes it look more interesting. I’m also tagging this for Wild Flower Week.
I may even get to sort out some stuff this afternoon and on instructions from my friend, Louise, who is a great “turfer outer of stuff” I will not put it into the garage, but will consign it to the bin or a bag for the charity shop.
Mr. HCB has gone off to Cheltenham for the first day’s cricket at The College and I must admit, I always feel a little sad for him when he drives off on his own - and more so when he goes to Cheltenham, because as many of you know, his cricket buddy, Keith, died a couple of years ago. However, Keith’s son, who lives in the US is coming over next week to visit friends and also to go to cricket with Mr. HCB on Tuesday, so I’m sure they will talk about Keith a lot, not least because he was so knowledgeable about cricket and previous matches!
I still miss Keith's cheery smile and I know that Mr. HCB misses him a lot. I always used to take a shot of them just before they left - so I took a couple of Mr. HCB today - for posterity!
I told Mr. HCB that I would go down to Cheltenham with him on Thursday - not just to watch the cricket, but to see if I can find a dress for the wedding we are attending in September - so watch this space!
Thank you for your continuing support in the way of comments, stars and hearts - I did get round to doing quite a few comments last night. M xx
